The singing tree is based on a recursive fractal generator. What's special about this tree is that it is moving in three dimensions and that every twig has its own sound depending on the twig position and size. By combining the sounds of these twigs, interesting and different audio textures evolve for each tree. Being a composer, I took the liberty to add a minimal soundscape to enrichen the flavour.

This applet uses my first experiments with recursive programming. To implement the sound, I also needed to develop a sampler-object, which I am sure I will start using more in the future.
